Surgical Drainage Made Certain

Founder

CEO and Co-Founder of Centese, Evan Luxon, was born to run this company. As an Omaha North graduate, he continued on to earn a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Evan than went on to earn an MSE in bioengineering innovation from Johns Hopkins University and capped it off with a MS in mechanical engineering from Stanford. He has coupled these accomplishments with an internship at NASA and fellowships at Stanford and the FDA. Professionally, he has founded multiple tech transfers out of the Stanford labs and led each company to commercialization.

All of this experience has led Evan to founding Centese. Centese develops innovative technology coupled with smart software to create solutions to unsolved medical problems. Its technology, Thoraguard, is an intelligent surgical drainage system for cardiothoracic surgery. Patient outcomes following cardiothoracic surgery hinge on proper chest tube drainage and the accuracy of measurements related to patient recovery. Current surgical drainage systems remain unreliable and often result in complications, longer hospital stays, wasted resources, and unnecessary costs. Centese’s technology is proven to make surgical drainage certain, improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and providing a better patient experience.
