The most successful startups include an inventor and an entrepreneur.

Proven Ventures has a strategic relationship with UneMed and UneTech, the tech transfer divisions of UNMC and UNO. Tech transfer seeks to take clever inventions and intellectual property developed within the walls of the university and commercialize it.

We are talent searching and recruiting entrepreneurs to partner with inventors. Ideal candidates will…

  • Have a track record. They have built businesses before and know how to start from scratch.

  • Have worked in healthcare, health-tech, innovation or within a startup.

  • Have prior sales or marketing experience.

  • Have connections with potential customers.

  • Can relate to the problem the concept is solving.

We are responsible for finding entrepreneurial talent to partner with these world-class inventors. Top candidates will meet with the inventors, and if there is a willingness from both parties to move forward, new startup companies will be formed.

Every entrepreneur that we recruit and place will first be a consultant of Proven Ventures. Together, we will define a series of commercialization milestones that you can work against. If/when milestones are met, equity in the new startup company will be earned.

Also, qualified candidates have the potential to earn a stipend on top of equity allocation. Most importantly, entrepreneurs are effectively CEO’s in training and will have the chance of becoming the chief executive officer in the new startup company.

We are currently talent searching for the following opportunities:

Remote ICU

Today, there are tight restrictions on who can visit a patient inside an intensive care unit (ICU). While this is a Covid stipulation, these restrictions will likely persist. This is problematic for loved ones, near and far, who want to monitor the health and status of their family member who is receiving medical care. Remote ICU v1.0 allows anyone to virtually “tour” the facilities. Version 2 will allow patients and family members to co-create a patient profile, which will be viewable by the care team, and helps the family feel more connected to the medical staff and patient. Version 2 will also support audio and video communication and collaboration with the medical staff and remote family members, essentially meeting and engaging with those providing care to the family member.

Symptom Tracker

Symptom Tracker is a simple and easy, if-then health and wellness checklist for students, employers, family members, or health care providers. Users provide symptom information into a mobile app, and the interface returns diagnosis information, along with care suggestions. The benefit to the user is that it helps make a more data-driven decision on actions to take, or not to take (i.e. go to work, or work from home) based on medical symptomology. The benefit to the organization (employer or school) is that they are offering smart decision-support technology to help their employees make a more informed decision on whether to come into the office or whether they should stay at home. The employer is also protecting their workforce and better managing the health of their population.
